Ambedkar Knowledge City

Our Trust entered into the Silver Jubilee Year on 03-04-2012. Looking back, we have some achievements. We have our own office building in the heart of the city. We also have one acre and forty eight cents of land in the Greater Cochin area (Tripunithura). We provided computer training to many needy SC/ST youth and medical support to thousands of poor and sick people, besides many other services like prizes, educational kits, financial support etc to many deserving and needy persons in our society. Yet none of them can provide continuing support to our struggling brothers and sisters in our community. All around you can see Christians, Muslims, Nairs, Ezhavas etc setting up their own colleges, hospitals, industries and grabbing more than their due share in Government and governance. Their collective effort made them capable not only to support their struggling brothers and sisters but also to control the government and even other communities to achieve their aims.

We are 15%. But we are yet to do some thing lasting and continuously beneficial to our sisters and brothers. We the educated and better off SC/ST families should analyze the situation. All of us came up in education, employment and to the present economic & social status we have, on the strength of reservation. May be some individuals here and there came up on their merit. But on analysis of their past it can be seen that their parents/grant parents came up through reservation. Needless to say all SC/ST personnel owe their present status in any field to the total SC/ST people. Therefore it is the duty of all SC/ST people in position to contribute to their ability to uplift our brethren. It was with this motive the MG Trust was established. So far the Trust was able to do only minor and issue based short term services. In the Silver Jubilee Year the Managing Committee of the M.G.Trust proposes to set up MG Trust SOS Village as Dr. Ambedkar Knowledge City /Village in the one and half acre plot at Tripunithura.
